![]() ![]() ![]() With L5R, it's a niche setting based off a card game, and while the game is pretty dope, I don't think it's ever sold gangbusters. However, I feel like this is likely the case. So just want to put that caveat out there. ![]() ![]() While I think it'd be really damn weird to post a fake email about this subject in a Facebook group, I cannot confirm myself that this email exists. I would be happy to see people playing Star Wars even in a system I'm not enthused about as that is healthy for the hobby and likely to get more to tables for all games. I'll be here with my books waiting for those who want to try another type of rpg. It is a great introduction for those looking for something different and perfect for those who don't like to stray to far from DnD. Overall I look at at a DnD5 conversion the same as for L5R. The Saga Edition was really fun for non-Force characters, but understand the hesitation on Jedi. Star Wars often felt a bit lacking or wonky in various d20 versions regarding the Force. I much prefer L5R FFG (and classic) but think the new DnD5 version will help bring more players. The AEG produced books brought the lacking elements in, but often felt fiddlely. OA had some workable material for other settings I incorporated, but it always felt lacking for Rokugan. I wasn't a big fan of the DnD3 version of L5R, but I invested heavily in it because it brought people to the table. ![]()
